Founder of Rooted In LLC

Brian S. Keith is the Co Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Rooted In, a Boston based adult use cannabis retailer operating in one of the most highly regulated markets in the country. He is responsible for day to day operations across regulatory compliance, financial performance, workforce management, customer experience, and operational systems.
Brian has led Rooted In from concept through licensing, buildout, and ongoing operations, working directly with city and state regulators, union partners, vendors, and community stakeholders. His work focuses on building compliant, sustainable cannabis businesses that balance operational discipline with customer trust and community responsibility.
Prior to entering the cannabis industry, Brian spent more than 16 years in private aviation, where he held senior leadership roles across charter sales and commercial operations. That background continues to inform his approach to cannabis operations, particularly in areas where safety, reliability, service quality, and accountability are non negotiable.
Brian writes about cannabis retail operations, regulatory compliance, customer experience, workforce leadership, and the realities of operating in highly regulated industries.
